They wordlessly learn to love us
They comfort us when we cry,

They are sad when we say good-bye

They devote their life to loving us
They follow us wherever we roam
They learn how we are and what we like

They are like a silent guide

I arrive in a place so familiar to me
A place where I was once young and free
I close my eyes and wait to find
That one being who will never leave me behind.
I look and wait and begin to wonder
Whether this whole idea is just a blunder.

Where is he so strong and bold,
The spirit guide of ancient and old?
I open my mouth and say soft as a sound
"My spirit guide I wish to be found."
I wait beneath the well-known tree
For them to reveal themselves to me.

Time goes by and I begin to say
"Perhaps they have lost their way"
A flash of black stands before me
It's my spirit guide whom I wish to see

Thank you! I used just regular sketchbook paper although watercolour paper would be better. Tea is fun, but personally I think its thinner and lighter than coffee so it will take twice as many layers to get that colour (that's just my opinion) Be sure to send me a link if you do one!

Thank you! Just brew up some black coffee, grab a paintbrush and some paper and you're ready to go! Pretty simply. To make it darker, make sure each layer dries before adding the next. :XD:
